[ROOT] Verizon DROID RAZR HD XT926 - KitKat firmware


Prerequisites:

  • Download and install motorola USB driver on your computer.
  • YOUR BOOTLOADER HAVE "UNLOCKED" STATUS
  • Setup Android SDK on your computer, so that you have working ADB and Fastboot on your system.
  • Enable USB Debugging on your Verizon DROID RAZR HD.
  • CWM recovery file : xt926-KK-CWM-6048.img
  • Also SuperSU package ( .zip file) and copy it to your phone
Actually, i re-package almost all files needed into one package provide below.
also i have create un-perfect small script to root the device. and i integrated root-guide to the script

Yes, i've made some change at file..of course to adapted into my device.
doesn't like too much?? please build your own if that so. :p

added:
  • Nandroid Manager v2.4.1
  • Titanium Backup v6.1.5.5
  • Link2SD Plus v3.4.6
  • Mobile ODIN v4.2
  • ROEHSOFT RAM Expander v3.19
  • MX Player v1.7.3
  • Adaway v4.8
  • My backup v4.0.9
  • Root explorer v2.21.1
Don't worry, a SU still there :D
grab the file and cook with your samsung GT B5330
  1. Get ODIN flasher (almost every odin supported this device)
  2. grab all files below
  3. Copy "ROOT FILE" and "CWM RECOVERY" to yours external sdcard
  4. Run your odin & UNTICK 'Auto Reboot'
  5. Click 'PDA' or 'PHONE' button > choose "ODIN FILE" that you have been downloaded
  6. Reboot your device into odin mode [press POWER+VOLUME DOWN]
  7. Plug device to usb and hit 'start' at odin.
  8. wait till finished [less than 30 seconds]
  9. after done, remove from usb > TURN OFF your device & un-plug the battery from device for 3seconds [don't forget insert your external sdcard either at this point]
  10. put battery back to the device, push VOLUME UP+POWER for 5 - 6 seconds
  11. choose 'apply update from sdcard' > point at "CWM RECOVERY" that you have downloaded & copied to external sdcard.
  12. At 'ClockworkMod Recovery' menu, hit 'install zip from sdcard' then just wait it finish..
  13. hit again, 'reboot system now'

  1. download the file
  2. extract downloaded file
  3. move / copy your *.img file to extracted folder you have been downloaded
  4. run / double click file "img2tarmd5"
  5. follow the instruction
